I Wear Red (Re-blog from World Pulse)

Here is a reminder of how girls and women are still looking to be free!

My Decade Long Travels

I found a community of women who put our interest first over any other things and it’s very inspiring to read their stories of joy, sadness, challenges and more. It is also fulfilling to know that I am part of a big movement that tries very hard to be heard, seen, understood and love .

Here is one post I enjoyed reading from one of the inspiring women of World Post, I hope you will be inspired to take action.

I Wear Red by Tam

I Wear Red

I wear red for my sisters

Whose blood flows monthly

I wear red for my sisters

Whose blood is spilled through beatings

I wear red for my sisters

Whose blood flows with difficulty

Through wounds inflicted

I wear red in rage

That my sisters whose blood flows monthly

Are beaten and raped and insulted and silenced
