TO QUIT OR NOT TO QUIT

https://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_prompt/enough-is-enough/

These past few weeks I have been pretty happy with how my understanding of WordPress has grown.  Just when it was becoming a routine for me, there’s a bump in my blogging road.  It started last night when I inadvertently deleted some of my images on the sidebar.  This should have been an easy fix.  After all, I am the one who put them there in the first place.  The one forum says to put the image in your ‘media’ with the others.  In order to do that there is a url. that is required to fill in, but it is not being accepted.  I have been reading my WordPress books, googling my questions, and have watched some You Tube videos.  Where do I go from here?

Maybe I am throwing in the towel.   This does get frustrating and exhausting because I just won’t stop until it is done.  Even if I don’t want to.  No.  I know me.  This will keep me up another night and further until the answers finally come to me.

Go to your image widget screen. Then upload your photo on a pretend post. Go to where the photo uploads and copy the http address from the photo (on the right). Then paste that http address into the widget where it asks for the address. That should do it. 😊

Fix one thing each night and try not to do it all in one night unless you know what you are doing. Otherwise it will be too overwhelming. (That is what I would have to do).

As techy as I am, I am terrified of changing my WP theme because of all the work I will have to do to recreate the widgets. You are in good company. I see some of my blogger friends have given you good advice! Hope you are successful!

Hi there….I have taken Blogging 101 twice and know how it feels to want to throw in the towel. I’ve been lucky…if I throw my problem out there and repeat it a few times, I am always able to solve it. But the frustration can get intense. Happy blogging! http://lilypupslife.wordpress.com/
